Earthstrong Open Days and DiscoverEU Adventures

As După Gard sinks deeper roots into Transylvanian soil each year, we're excited to share some spring updates from our blooming projects. Apart from our focus on the volunteering program, which already has brought us this years first eager Perma-Explorer Ioana, theres loads happening:

🌍 Earthstrong Open Days

As part of the launch of our EARTHSTRONG community garden, we have decided to launch a series of free Open Days to let people get in touch with the project more easily. Join us at our forest and community garden for free hands-on permaculture workshops, nature connection, delicious community feasts, and immersive time in nature. We host one free event every few weeks - the next is May 2nd, focused on grafting fruit trees. Our most recent gathering (just days ago!) featured seed-swapping and a wild herb walk:

As special suprise we had some young people from a neighbouring village join us, who wanted to learn more about what we do and are interested in joining our upcoming Permaculture-Eurotrip.

🚂 DiscoverEU Trip: Permaculture in Europe

Our young explorers are gearing up! They'll visit După Gard during upcoming Open Days to dive into permaculture practices and get a sneak peek at our late-August DiscoverEU adventure across Europe. This self-organized learning journey will map bioregional economies, regenerative sites, and sustainable communities. Teaser below:

🐉 Dragon Dreaming Romania

Beyond strengthening our Volunteer Program, our association is sparking a national movement to boost collaboration among Romania's sustainable actors - especially in the permaculture scene. Andreas has crafted a detailed Dragon Dreaming process for this, with 20 key players already onboard. We're in the 1-on-1 interview phase now, leading to an online kickoff circle and a live workshop at the Transylvania Permaculture Campfire 2026.
